Description
Feasibility studies for offshore subsea transformers and its affiliated components This Project outlines and promotes the concept of the TenneT Offshore Subsea Transformer, an innovation that technically simplifies and downsizes conventional offshore converter platforms in order to realize cost savings, among other things. The main innovation is the spatial relocation of components for offshore grid connection systems to the seabed. In the future, the TenneT Offshore Subsea Transformer could complement the new 2GW standard to further accelerate the offshore grid expansion. The reason for this tender is the awarding of several feasibility studies in preparation for a potential development of offshore subsea transformers and its affiliated components.
