Description
De aanwezigheid van invasieve exoten in de vaarwegen van de provincie Drenthe heeft in recente jaren een toename laten zien. Deze exoten vormen een bedreiging voor de biodiversiteit. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van een negatieve impact op de recreatieve waarde van de vaarwegen en de kosten die het voor de provincie Drenthe met zich meebrengt om de overlast te bestrijden. Vanwege de oplopende kosten is provincie Drenthe een openbare Europese aanbesteding gestart voor de Exotenbestrijding. In overeenstemming met artikel 2.82 van de Aanbestedingswet 2012 behoudt Aanbestedende dienst de Opdracht voor aan sociale werkplaatsen en ondernemers.
