Description
The Overall Objective (Impact) of this action is to enhance the international role of the European Union as a trusted and relevant partner contributing to the green transition through city diplomacy and the promotion of sustainable and inclusive urban development in line with the European Green Deal, the EU Urban Agenda and the New Urban Agenda of the United Nations. The Specific Objectives (Outcomes) of this action are to: 1. Join forces with North American cities to tackle global challenges, as part of the external dimension of the EU urban, energy, climate, circular economy and research policies and in line with the implementation of the EU digital agenda, that will systematically be considered in the outputs and activities. 2. Stimulate and expand city partnerships and networks between the EU and North America (US, Canada) accompanying and encompassing EU diplomatic efforts in the region. 3. Promote urban innovation in both sides of the Atlantic.
