Het streven voor de beoogde situatie is het opzetten van een IT-omgeving waarbij ontzorging en professionalisering als fundament dienen. AWBR wil zich volledig kunnen concentreren op het onderwijs en de continuïteit hiervan waarborgen. In de moderne onderwijspraktijk is IT niet meer weg te denken en heeft het een cruciale rol gekregen.
