Description
In Nederland bestaat momenteel geen gestructureerde nationale aanpak voor de vroege detectie van hart- en vaatziekten, chronische nierziekten en diabetes type 2 in de algemene bevolking. Check@Home (dcvalliance.nl) is een initiatief van de Dutch CardioVascular Alliance, de Hartstichting, de Nierstichting en het Diabetes Fonds, om hier invulling aan te geven. Dit onderzoek wordt op IT gebied begeleidt door de firma Topicus b.v., een partner in het consortium Check@Home. In dit onderzoek worden personen in vier regio’s in Nederland gevraagd deel te nemen. Dit betreft 160.000 mensen in de leeftijdscategorie 50-75 jaar. Deze mensen ontvangen per post een informatiepakket met verschillende medische thuistesten.
