Description
Centre for Artificial Intelligence research (CAIR) is a top-rated area for the University of Agder. CAIR works on applied and ground research in artificial intelligence. CAIR is working on creating completely new algorithm types with a universal use. This includes variants of deep neural networks that require a lot of GPU power. We work with concrete artificial intelligence algorithms related to health, energy, security, accounts and teaching. The research on AI at UiA is not only basic research, but should and must result in practical solutions to practical problems. Here it is so that the size of the problems that can be solved and the quality of them is directly connected to the capacity of the hardware used. The University of Agder currently uses 8 NVIDIA DGX-2 and 2 DGX-H100, but needs further capacity in our machines. Therefore, we intend to increase the machinery by 4 NVIDIA DGX H100, where also a full A1 software stack and support is included in the delivery.
