Description
The drinking water companies PWN, Waternet, Evides, and Dunea supply drinking water to their customers in the provinces of North Holland, South Holland, and Zeeland. From several production locations, this water is transported and delivered to consumers/customers via a pipeline system consisting of transport pipes (400 mm to 1500 mm), distribution pipes (40 mm to 400 mm), and service pipes. For malfunctions, repairs, and modifications to transport pipes, fittings, usually couplings, are used. To ensure the coupling-pipe construction is watertight, rubber (sealing) rings with a hardness of Shore A 50 +/- 5 are used. Through this market consultation, we want to explore the possibility of obtaining the required rubber rings that comply with the "Regulations on materials and chemicals for drinking and hot tap water supply."
