Description

Das PSI benötigt für die Weiterentwicklung und Erneuerungen der Protonenbeschleunigungsanlage HIPA präzise DC-Hochspannungsgeräte mit nur positiver und/oder nur negativer Polarität von 70 bis 350 kV: Für das Projekt IMPACT (2025-2028) benötigt das PSI 6 Hochspannungsgeräte mit einer Spannung bis zu 350kV. Angestrebt wird ein Dauerbetrieb von ±320kV, zum Konditionieren wird eine gut 10% höhere Spannung benötigt. Ausserdem besteht am PSI ein Erneuerungsbedarf bei den bestehenden Geräten bis 200kV. Hier sind knapp 20 Geräte im Alter zwischen zehn und zwanzig Jahren in Betrieb die nach und nach erneuert werden sollen.
