Description
FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute is een joint-university onderzoeks en innovatie instituut dat in 2021 formeel door ULB en VUB werd opgericht. Het is een initiatief dat de multidisciplinaire krachten bundeld van 5 onderzoeksgroepen van de VUB en 5 onderzoeksgroepen van de ULB die actief zijn in onderzoek naar AI, Data en Robotica technologiën. Een specifieke focus hierbij ligt bij het faciliteren van digitale innovatie in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest en de publieke sector in het bijzonder dmv van lokale en internationale (EU) projecten. Het initiatief werd gefinancierd door structurele funding via NextGenEU (Relance & Resilience Facility) en bijkomende project financiering van ondermeer Digital Europe projecten en Innoviris. Het initiatief wordt mogelijk gemaakt door een team van innovatie, software, communicatie experten van ongeveer 15 tal personen (Centrale FARI Staff) die zowel op ULB als op VUB loondienst staan. De gevraagde general management diensten hebben als doel om 1 speerpunt te hebben namens de organisatie in zowel overleg met externe als intern stakeholders (binnen VUB en ULB).
