Description

The works required on behalf of the Government of Curaçao (Contracting Authority), consist of construction, infrastructural and civil works financed from the 11th European Development Fund programme ‘Building Resilient and Sustainable Communities in Curaçao’. This entails construction of new and upgrading of existing infrastructure in four (4) neighborhoods. The prioritised communities selected for improvement are Fortuna Ariba Phase 2, Tera Cora, Otrobanda, and Sapaté. The infrastructural works consist of, amongst others, newly to construct and/or improvement of existing access roads, sewerage, drainage, street lighting, pavements, the construction of above and below ground infrastructure for subsequently building of social housing by Fundashon Kas Popular, sport facilities, construction of a new waste water treatment plant (WWTP) and related works, recreational area, a multifunctional and child care centre. The objective is to improve living conditions as well as sanitary conditions and to reduce flood risk and dust exposure.
