Description
Das Scientific Computing Center (SCC) des Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT)betreibt die Rechenfarm des Grid Computing Centers Karlsruhe (GridKa). GridKa stellt der deutschen Teilchenphysik-Community und insbesondere den LHC-Experimenten am CERN Speicher- und Rechnerressourcen als Tier-1-Rechenzentrum zur Verfügung. Die zu beschaffenden Clustererweiterung wird in den Rechnerräumen des SCC am KIT Campus Nord in dort bereits vorhanden Serverracks aufgestellt und betrieben.
