Description
Das Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf bietet seinen Mitarbeitern virtuelle Anwendungen und Desktops z.B. für die Nutzung des zentralen Krankenhausinformationssystems und deren Subsysteme an. Um diese plattformunabhängig und zentral gepflegt anbieten zu können, unterhält das UKD in zwei Rechenzentren eine bestehende Citrix-Infrastruktur. Diese besteht aus VMware Hypervisoren, auf die jeweils mehrere Citrix virtuell Apps and Desktops über den Citrix Machine Creation Services virtualisiert sind. Die Anwendungen selbst werden dem User über Citrix Storefront als App Store angeboten.
