Description
Im Zuge der barrierefreien Erschließung soll die bestehende PU komplett zurückgebaut wer-den und durch eine neue PU ersetzt werden. Die neue PU wird länger und mit einer bis dahin nicht vorhandenen Zuwegung von der Seite Wadgassen / Stahlwerk Bous ausgestattet. Sie umfasst, neben dem Rahmenbauwerk, drei Treppenanlagen sowie drei Aufzugsanlagen. Ergänzend zu den 2 Streckengleisen befinden sich im Bahnhof noch 3 weitere Gleise (5, 6 & 9), die überwiegend für den Güterzugverkehr genutzt werden. Hierbei ist das Gleis 9 ein Stumpfgleis, welches im Bereich der Baustelle endet.
