Description
SDC is planning to assist North Macedonia to overcome key challenges related to biodiversity conservation, forest and landscape restoration and low public awareness, and also to align with the international and EU standards. The Biodiversity and Ecosystem Resilience Programme (BDER) will provide support for facilitating and coordinating activities to a) enhance capacities of institutions and partners for the efficient management and sustainable financing of protected areas in the Bregalnica region; b) pilot restoration measures in the same region; c) access the Green/Climate/Biodiversity fund for implementation of restoration measures at national level; and d) increase the public awareness on relevant topis, by engaging civil sector.
