Mit seinen 3.900 Mitarbeitern und 1.391 Betten leistet es für jährlich 160.000 Patienten die Maximal- und Grundversorgung wohnortnah in der Westpfalz. Dadurch handelt es sich bei dem Westpfalz-Klinikum um das größte kommunale Krankenhaus in Rheinland-Pfalz sowie den größten kommunalen Arbeitgeber in der Region.
