Die Stadt Erftstadt plant in den kommenden Jahren unter dem Arbeitstitel "Wohnen am Campus" die Entwicklung eines neuen Wohnquartiers in unmittelbarer Nähe zum neuen Campus im Stadtteil Liblar. Der dort entstehende Wohnraum, verbunden mit hochwertigen Frei- und Grünflächen sowie einem zukunftsfähigen und modernen Verkehrskonzept, soll einen Beitrag zur Stärkung des Wohnstandortes Erftstadt und der zukünftigen Stadtentwicklung in Liblar leisten. Insgesamt hat sich die Stadt Erftstadt zum Ziel gesetzt, den angespannten Wohnungsmarkt durch die Entwicklung "Wohnen am Campus" zu entlasten.
