Im Neubau des Museums Friedland entsteht eine Dauerausstellung, die die Ursachen und Hintergründe der Migration beleuchtet und die gesellschaftlichen Diskussionen darüber in Deutschland untersucht. Hierbei werden Geschichten von Menschen erzählt, die seit 2011 über Friedland nach Deutschland gekommen sind.
