Description
El objetivo general del proyecto es contribuir a mejorar el acceso de la población atendida por el promotor [Junta del Agua de la región meridional (SRWB-Southern Region Water Board)] a servicios de abastecimiento de agua fiables, sostenibles y asequibles, con especial atención a las ciudades de Liwonde y Balaka. Además, el proyecto pretende utilizar la energía de la presa Mulunguzi. Los objetivos del presente contrato son los siguientes: i) ayudar al promotor a alcanzar el objetivo global del proyecto y a realizar el proyecto de forma eficiente, eficaz, coordinada y sostenible, ii) mejorar la capacidad del promotor en términos de capacidad técnica de ingeniería, procedimientos de gestión medioambiental y social con la aportación de expertos técnicos internacionales.
