Description
The Ministry of Children and Family Affairs is responsible for policy design in the areas of child protection, adolescence and living conditions, children and youth, family and cohabitation, faith and life expectancy and consumer policy. The Ministry of Finance is planning and implementing the economic policy in Norway, within the framework set by the government and the Storting. The Ministry is responsible for, among other things, the budget policy, tax and duty policies, stability in the financial markets and the Government Pension Fund. The aim of the area review of the institution child welfare service is to contribute to effective use of resources and limit spending growth, while safeguarding the child protection law and a service offer that safeguards the needs of children in child welfare and that is in accordance with professional standards and quality requirements. Concrete measures shall be proposed with the aim of utilising the resources efficiently and improved possibilities for cost control and predictable budgeting compared with today.
