Description

The Geobiology Laboratory at the Globe Institute explores the impact of organisms on the chemical and physical Earth. Specific focus is on trace metal cycling and how the availavility of bioessential metals influence biological productivity today and in the past. This work requires geochemical characterizations of modern environment, controlled laboratory experiments (incl. synthetic products) and geological materials (incl. fossils and sedimentary rocks). The Geobiology Laboratory at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen, proposes the acquisition of a Triple-Quad Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (QQQ-ICPMS) paired with a High-Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC).
