Die Erweiterung umfasst 5 Geschosse, die terrassenförmig nach Westen abgetreppt sind: UG bis 3.OG. Mit der Erweiterung wird ein Wirtschafthof im UG, eine Liegendkrankenvorfahrt im EG und eine Durchfahrt entlang der Westseite im UG angelegt. Der bestehende Bauteil West wurde 1972 bis 1990 in 2 Bauabschnitten errichtet und bis heute mehrmals geringfügig umgebaut.
