De aankoop van een SPECT-CT kadert in de vervanging van de huidige SPEC-CT, type Symbia Intevo - voor de dienst nucleaire geneeskunde. Het aankoopdossier omvat de levering, installatie en aansluiting van het toestel, alsook de overname en afvoer van het te vervangen toestel. Verder gaat de aankoop gepaard met het afsluiten van een omnium onderhoudscontract. Alle benodigde testen en wettelijke controles zijn ten laste van de inschrijver.
