Description
In 2024 heeft de Molecular Inaging and Therapy (MITH) grote onderzoeksgroep de officiële goedkeuring gekregen voor de FWO Hercules middelzware infrastructuur call. Deze applicatie, getiteld “RAPTOR: Rapid Analysis and production of Proteins for clinical Translation using biacORe and bioreactOR systems”, was ingediend voor de aankoop van een Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) toestel voor de analyse van eiwitbindingen. Het Cytiva Biacore 1K+ toestel heeft een ongeziene sensiviteit wat nodig is om kleine biologicals te testen; een gereguleerde temperatuur binnen de meet-unit en een hele hoge output waardoor dit toestel een significante technologische voorsprong heeft tegenover andere toestellen in de markt.
