Description
Het voorwerp betreft een nieuw hoge resolutiefluorescentiemicroscopie systeem. Dit systeem moet standaard dynamische (live cell) confocal imaging en confocal-fluorescence lifetime imaging kunnen doen en super-resolutie imaging met behulp van stimulated emission depletion (STED). Voor het laatste is snelle (scanning) en gevoelige tijd-opgeloste detectie bij zo weinig mogelijk (STED) laser-power van essentieel belang om dynamische super-resolutie te verkrijgen met zo weinig mogelijk fotoschade in levende cellen. Het microscopiesysteem is beoogd voor life sciences onderzoek, voor (levende) cellen in cultuur, 3D-celkweek organoïden, bacteriën, plantencellen, gist en hersencoupes en wordt geplaatst in het van Leeuwenhoek Centre for Advanced Microscopy (LCAM), onderdeel van de sectie Moleculaire Cytologie, Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences van de Faculty of Science van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Het systeem gaat deel uitmaken van de nationale grootschalige onderzoekinfrastructuur NL-BioImaging AM en van de functional imaging node LCAM in de Euro-BioImaging ESFRI grootschalige infrastructuur.
