Description
The PESEREE III (Higher Education Program for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency) program is implemented by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The general objective of the PESEREE III program is to improve training of renewable energy and energy efficiency experts in Senegal in terms of quality, quantity, orientation towards employment and promotion of entrepreneurial skills. In particular, PESEREE III supports its main partner, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) in establishing practice-oriented training institutions at the interface between vocational and university education, the so-called "Instituts Supérieurs d"Enseignement Professionnel (ISEP)". Five ISEP already exist in different regions of Senegal, a sixth ISEP (ISEP Mbacké) is going to be established with the support of KfW.
