Description

The contract concerns the purchase of an OPM-MEG. The contracting authority intends to award the contract concerning the delivery of an OPM-MEG to CFIN, Aarhus University through negotiated procedure without prior publication, as the supplies can only be provided by a particular economic operator for technical reasons. These technical reasons are specifically related to uniqueness in terms of form, function, or performance – and cannot be obtained on the open market in a comparable form – i.e., only one supplier is able to provide the instrument in question. The Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience (CFIN) at Aarhus University requires an Optically Pumped Magnetometer MEG (OPM-MEG) system to support an active program of human neuroimaging research. The research involves recording brain activity non-invasively in healthy adults, clinical populations, and pregnant women (fetal neurophysiology). CFIN plans to also record MEG from small children in the near future.
