Description

Since 2013 the University of Oslo has developed model systems for dynamic imaging of Immune system. This has been done by genetic modification of mice in order to express several different fluorescent proteins that identify sub-groups of immune cells. The Dynamic interactions to these cells (defined by the tailor made fluorophors) have been visualised and quantified by using a version of the FVMPE-RS BX63L, multiphoton system. University of Oslo have developed an analysis method to quantify how the cells in the developed model systems interacting. This analysis method is fundamental to our work and it is built on the unique the data we can collect with the FVMPE-RS BX63L, multiphoton system. Financed in our ERC start support is the continuation of the work of analysing interactions between immune cells. Thus fvmpe-RS BX63L, the multiphoton system is required to complete the 5 year project (which has already is in its second year).
