Das UKE beabsichtigt den Austausch zweier MRT-Geräte. Dabei sollen zwei 3T-MRTs beschafft werden, die hinsichtlich der Zubehörteile, insb. der Tische, vollständig kompatibel sind. Zudem muss eines der MRTs über ein sog. Gradientensystem verfügen.
