Description
The Agency for Urban Environment intends to enter into a contract with Norway ́s Life Support Company for beach life rescue services for Huk, Hvervenbukta, Ingierstrand, Operastrand and Sørenga during the school holiday summer 2024. These are distributed as follows: - Three lifesavers each day at Huk, Hvervenbukta, Ingierstrand and Operastranda Six lifesavers in Sørenga every day. The contract has a total value of NOK 6,420,000. As Oslo has opened up the innermost part of the fjord to the general public, swimming pools that are a mixture of nature and city have become increasingly common. Large parts of the town population draw to Bjørvika, Bygdøy and along the fjord southwards in the city on hot days. At the most visited swimming spots, there is a need for lifesavers who can prevent accidents, carry out beach life rescue and first aid when an accident occurs and have contact with the public. This is also the beach life rescue service's most important tasks: Prevent, observe and save.
